Our Indian partner Chemolutions Ltd has acquired its second unit based in Tarapur, Maharashtra. The transaction was officially concluded on November 20th, 2009. The acquisition is an important move forward towards the dynamic development of Chemolutions Ltd. The new facility will eventually operate under FDA conditions and adds a new dimension to the existing entity. The new plant has an additional 85 m3 of reactor capacity bringing the total capacity to 125 m3. The combined R&D activities are concentrated at the existing facilities in Mumbai, while the entire production is carried out in the two sites in Tarapur. A total team of 104 chemists, engineers, researchers and others are now handling the development and manufacturing of new molecules as well as optimizing existing processes. On 1 September 2009 Baltrac Ltd acquired Cedric Rochat Ltd based in Denges, Switzerland. The company was established in 1981 and as their agent, represents several European producers. From their headquarters on Lake Geneva, where they also have their own spacious warehouse, Cedric Rochat Ltd distributes high quality chemical intermediates and finished products to the chemical industry worldwide, predominantly for the flavours and fragrance industry where they play a leading role.   These activities perfectly complement Baltrac's current organisation. For the time being, both companies will continue to operate under their present name and be managed by Hanspeter Trippmacher.  The standard products offered by Cedric Rochat Ltd are listed in the product section.

Baltrac has commenced global marketing of pyrazines in association with the Swiss trading company Cédric Rochat S.A.. The products are manufactured by Kern Labs Ltd. which is also based in Switzerland. Pyrazines are predominantly used in the flavour and fragrance industry as well as in pharmaceuticals.
